Kindergarten Enrollment, 2026-27 School Year
A big welcome to our incoming Kindergarten students and families!
Every January, Maya Lin School, along with other elementary schools in Alameda Unified School District, holds a series of events to inform families about the enrollment process and to get to know each school. Below are key dates and info about the process at Maya Lin School:
KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION NIGHT
- Thursday, January 15, 2026, 6:30-7:30 pm, at Maya Lin School
A TK Information Night for families in our neighborhood will be held 6:00 to 7:00 pm, January 13, 2026, at Paden Elementary School.
At the Information Night, parents will hear about the kindergarten program at Maya Lin School, receive information about the enrollment process for AUSD, and meet kindergarten teachers and other staff. We encourage new families to Maya Lin School to attend this important first event in getting to know our school.

SURVEY: Please complete the Kindergarten Information Night Google Form prior to or during this event, so we can gather contact and other pertinent information for you and your child.

The Kindergarten Enrollment Packet and accompanying video can be found on the AUSD Student Services website starting January 26.
SCHOOL TOURS
We will hold two school tours for interested families:
- Friday, February 6, 9 am
- Thursday, February 26, 9 am
